The mission trip to Santa Elena, La Paz in Honduras was a great success. The mission team consisted of several churches from the Albertville, Gadsden, and Birmingham areas. Three from FBCA went on the trip. There were 39 team members consisting of dentists, doctors, nurses, pastors, retirees, and other professions. On this mission, there were 320 professions of faith and 64 re-dedications. The medical clinic saw 2,107 people, the dental clinic saw 448 people (and pulled 901 teeth), the eye clinic gave out many reading glasses and sun glasses, the pharmacy gave out 8,000 prescriptions (approx. $65,000 worth of meds),the clothes pantry gave out shoes, pants, and shirts and the children’s church saw over 1,000 children. Each person going to the clinics heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ in either the chapel service or children’s service, and many had a personal witness from team members. We thank God and give Him all the glory!

If you can’t go to Belize, here is a way you can help.  We are in need of mosquito nets.  We are trying to provide as many nets as possible.  The nets are a vital part of the fight against mosquito born diseases.
